This is my most recent painting. It is acrylic and oil on paper and framed in a gallery style limed wood frame. 50 cm x 30cm. I sketched a tonal drawing of the coast near Widemouth Bay last summer when the field had been harvested and the autumn light warmed the hedges with flashes of brown reds which looked luminous against the greys of the sea. Although I only had a the drawing to go by, the colours were imprinted on my memory which resulted in this piece of work.
