A Cornish Sun

This painting has been 10 years in the making.  It started off on paper as an experimental piece and I have been wanting to recreate it ever since.  It is a pure joyful bright painting on a deep canvas. More abstract than my usual work, I had the freedom to layer and create mixing new colours and adding texture.  It could be seen as many paintings with the one.  

On the left there is a hint to landscape, the colour instinctive in its application.  The sun has many layers to give it depth and hold it's shape sitting just off centre.

I don't want to say too much more.  It's for you to see what you would like as it draws you in to look closer, but also to step back to bask in the warmth of 'A Cornish Sun' 

Painted on a deep canvas, finished with a soft varnish and sitting in a white float frame, it measures 80cm square.   More photos on request or studio visits are welcome.  Will also be available as a fine art print.
