Dive Under, Watergate Bay

Cornish wave painting breaking surf on the beach Watergate Bay
Watergate Bay has long waves riding up the beach over soft yellow sand. The light in the Bay is soft and warm in summer and although there are clouds around which give some depth to the wave and perspective to the sky, this painting is all about summer.
The wave is tumbling in and dancing as it hits the shore.  Soft pinks and peaches lie underneath and also give weight to the foreground. It just makes you want to dive in and dive under.
£3,750  120 cm x 50 cm. Painted on a shallow canvas set in a white tray frame.  Finished with a soft satin varnish.  More photos on request and studio visits welcome.
